Hello, i'm Shona! I was born and raised on the Isle of Harris, and have spent most of my life here. Despite it's many challenges, I love island life. For the most part, it is slow-paced, easy-going, quiet and peaceful - far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life!
That's Gary, my nephew!
DFM Hampers was born from a passion for the islands that make up the Outer Hebrides, and their rich traditions. We carefully select the finest local produce and crafts to create hampers that celebrate these islands. Our sole aim is to provide gifts that delight those who receive them!
When I began looking into selling Welcome Hampers for local holiday lets, I quickly realised that providing one or two hampers, with a small selection of products, would do a huge disservice to the vast number of artisan producers that live and work on these islands.
So instead, I began working on a range of different hampers to show-off as much island-made produce as possible. What began as a side-part of my original business has grown into a passion project that combines my love for the place I come from, and my deep-rooted desire to bring people together.
